Refunds and Returns


Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at sales@straitlinecomponents.com.

Sale, Blemished and Discontinued Items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale, blemished and discontinued items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at sales@straitlinecomponents.com. You will be issued a RA # (Return Authorization #) and send your item to: WARRANTY DEPARTMENT

You will be responsible for paying the shipping back to us as well as the cost of shipping the exchanged item back to you.

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.


How much is shipping?

Shipping is automatically calculated prior to submitting your payment information.  Simply add items to your cart and proceed to the Checkout page where you will be offered Shipping Method choices and their prices.

When will my item ship?

Most orders will go out the same day they are received (if received during normal business hours). On rare occasion we are unable to process orders the same day they are received. In these circumstances your order will be shipped no later than 5 business days after your order is received.  

How do I buy/redeem gift certificates?

To purchase gift cards simply click on the gift cards tab at the top of the page. There you can select from a $10, $25, $50, or $100 gift card.

*Note that the gift cards are in Canadian dollars so if you pick a $10 gift card and are in a different currency the price won't match.

Once you have purchased and paid for your gift card it will be e-mailed to you with instructions on how to redeem it. If it's a gift for someone else just forward them the e-mail.

To redeem a gift card simply click on the link that was e-mailed to you and a code will pop up. Just copy the gift card code and paste it into the "gift card or discount code" section of the checkout and hit "apply". Your gift card amount will then be taken off your total. If you have money remaining on the gift card just enter the code again next time you make a purchase. 

Technical & Miscellaneous Questions
How do I know if my spindles are titanium?
One quick way is if you have Defacto pedals they are definitely Chromoly as they were only made with chromo spindles.

If you have AMP pedals you can take a magnet and hold it to the spindle. If the spindle is magnetic it is a chromoly spindle. If the spindle is not magnetic it is a titanium spindle.

My pedals squeak, what can I do to fix it?

Squeaks and creaks can be tricky to diagnose. Sometimes it may sound like it’s coming from your pedals when it’s really coming from your cranks or bottom bracket. It’s really just a process of elimination! Start off by taking apart your pedals, thoroughly cleaning them, re-grease them and re-assemble. If you notice anything is wore out, get a pedal bushing re-build kit and re-build the pedals.  Do I have to do pedal maintenance?

Yes, regular pedal maintenance is essential in ensuring proper performance over the life of your pedals. You can purchase pedal bushing re-build kits directly through our webstore, through your local bike shop or one of the distributors on our website.

 Do you still sell brake levers?

Unfortunately due to constant changes by brake manufacturers we have decided to discontinue our brake lever line.

I lost the bolts for my Pinch or Boxxer stem, what size bolts are used to attach it?

We use a standard M6-.8X20mm screw for the faceplate and attachment bolts for our Pinch and Boxxer stem.

I lost the bolts for my AMP stem, what size bolts are used to attach it?

We use a standard M5-.8X20mm screw for the faceplate and attachment bolts for AMP Stem
